Mushtaq Hussain

Mushtaq Hussain was born in 1951 in Kohat. He began his education in Hangu and later attended college in Parachinar, where he lived in a hostel, learning discipline and self-reliance. Due to financial constraints, he couldn’t pursue higher education and joined the Pakistan Air Force in 1972 as a technician. Over his 18-year career, he served in Karachi, Sargodha, Badin, and notably in Peshawar (1981–1990), where he formed a spiritual bond with Qaid Shaheed Arif Hussain al-Hussaini, whose teachings greatly influenced his life and faith.

He retired in 1990 as a Chief Technician and received a Certificate of Commendation in 1986. In 1991, he joined PIA in Karachi as a technician and retired in 2011 as an Officer Engineer.

Mushtaq has been deeply involved in social service since 1991. He founded the Al Ansar Foundation in Pehlwan Goth, which began with 50 donation boxes and now provides rations, medical aid, and monthly support to widows and needy families. In 1997, he began supporting families of martyrs through the Shaheed Foundation in Gulistan-e-Johar.

He also established the Al Elm Foundation in Pehlwan Goth to offer quality education to underprivileged students. With the key support of Sir Ali Irfan Naqvi, the school overcame early challenges and now boasts three batches of matric students graduating with A+ grades.

Mushtaq Hussain’s life reflects a deep commitment to service, faith, and community upliftment, both during and after his professional career.
